What is permanent make-up?
Permanent make-up is also known as micro-pigmentation, semi-permanent make-up or cosmetic tattooing. Some even call it tattoo embroidery! Medical grade organic and inorganic pigments are gently implanted into the upper reticular layer of the dermis (skin) to create a stunning look of make-up, however Joanne always says “less is more” so a natural look is the best way to go.
How long does it last and do I ever need it doing again?
Even though the colour fades over time the pigment always remains in the skin that’s why it is called permanent make-up. Because Joanne works very lightly and natural she recommends a colour boost every 12 to 18 months to keep your make-up looking its best.
Is permanent make-up suitable for me?
During a consultation, Joanne will check to see if your suitable to have the treatment. You must be 18 or over and have had a patch test. Generally most people are suitable for having the treatment.
Will it hurt?
Joanne uses topical numbing cream so the procedure is more comfortable for the client. She is also highly skilled in her application working extremely lightly, making sure it is no more painful than having your eyebrows tweezed. Joanne doesn’t do pain!
How do you decide what’s the best look for me and will I suit it?
Joanne has a natural artistic eye and will draw on the look first before she proceeds so you can have an idea as to how the healed area will look. She doesn’t proceed till you are 100% happy.
Is everything sterile?
Joanne uses the latest most advanced medical grade equipment. The cartridge system Joanne is safe against cross contamination. Fully disposable cartridges are used for your safety and the area she works in is clean and sanitizer.
What are the benefits?
Permanent make-up keeps you looking your best 24-7. In fact most people get quite lazy spending an extra 1/2 hour in bed not having to apply conventional make-up. You can still apply make-up on top of the tattooed make-up to vary the look for the day but its a pleasure having a base to work on. The most popular treatments are…
You can have the beautifully shaped brows you’ve always wanted. We will give you the eyebrows you had when you were younger and dramatically turn back the years with beautiful eyebrows that will frame your face.

By applying a fine line through the lash line, top, bottom or both this gives the appearance of more lashes and defining the windows to your soul. We can also add shading and shadowing techniques giving you the look of eyeshadow in a variety of colours. Or if you want a barely there look tiny micro dots give the illusion of hair follicles. With Joanne’s advice together you can choose the best look for you.
Alopecia is loss of hair. It comes in a variety of patterns with a variety of causes although often it is idiopathic. Using advanced techniques Joanne can simulate real hair on brows and eyes with amazing results restoring confidence in the individual. This is where the dotting on the eye line works amazingly. She can even create a few lashes in with the design to eliminate the naked look.
Vitiligio is a chronic disease that causes de-pigmentation due to lack of melanin in the skin. This makes people lose their confidence. But not to worry help is at hand, Joanne can re-pigment the skin improving the appearance.

This is the only treatment that can restore colour for patients following breast cancer or breast surgery creating a natural looking areola. This is the final phase of a mastectomy/ partial mastectomy or breast augmentation which makes a huge difference to the overall look creating the illusion of symmetry. Sometimes people just want some colour putting in if they have extremely pale areolas.
Chemotherapy or Radiation

How much does it Cost?

But for those that don’t want to travel she holds clinics in London once a month. Bromley once a month and Nottingham every 6 weeks. For a price please call Joanne direct on 07730777497
Remember Joanne says “cheap is expensive” she has spent years perfecting her skills and thousands of pounds on equipment and training. Joanne has even patented her unique technique of doing eyebrows… Da Vinci Brows.
By coming to Joanne you are in the best possible hands. Like anything, the higher end of the market will always deliver the results people desire. For this reason, when considering a permanent cosmetic procedure, your decision should not be on price alone, rather than quality of service. When tattooing your face Joanne always says “You can never be too careful, always pick someone you feel comfortable with and check their before and after pictures, always be wary if their web page doesn’t show any, remember it is permanent and it’s your face!” Unfortunately there are lots of inexperienced technicians in the industry doing bad work! which costs thousands to be corrected. Even if it takes a year to save be sure to wait and get it done by the best in the business. It will save you money and upset in the long term.
